About Us

Lakes PrimeCare was established in 1993 to provide a central point for medical care after hours and to provide a service for visitors to our town.

It is primarily a service for those in need of urgent medical attention.

You will be welcomed by our friendly and professional team of receptionists who will book you in to be seen by our highly qualified physicians with a vast range of medical experience. Our nurses will ensure that you are cared for and comfortable during treatment. GPs and nurse practitioners or prescribers from most of the Rotorua practices join our team after hours and on weekends.

Emergency care is always provided at the hospital. When not an urgent ailment please visit the GP practice you are registered with.

I graduated from Wits University Medical School in 1986.

After working in various hospitals in South Africa, the UK and Canada, I joined Lakes PrimeCare in 1993.

I did post graduate studies in anesthesia and urgent care. I am a Fellow of the NZCUC.

I enjoy the variety of practice at Lakes PrimeCare and the wide variety of outdoor activities Rotorua has to offer – fishing, farming and tramping.
